The always-on server beside your tank

See the hub behind your reef.

Node One is not a tablet. It is a local aquarium server that connects compatible reef equipment, gathers its data around the clock, runs supported controls, and gives you one dashboard at the tank or selected Reef Trak data when you are away. The videos below show the real hardware running Node OS.

New this week

Now talking to Aqua Illumination and Mobius.

The latest Node OS update connects Node One to Aqua Illumination and Mobius lighting. This is a walk through the new interface on the real unit.

Where it stands: control of an AI Blade is proven, run on a Node One with the light in the room. Radion control is being verified. The compatibility list has it model by model.

Real hardware

The screen is built in. The server is the product.

This is the actual Node One hardware running Node OS. Behind the touchscreen is a Raspberry Pi 5 server that stays with the aquarium, connects supported systems, stores local history, and keeps the reef dashboard running.

What this proves: Node One is real, dedicated, always-on aquarium hardware, not an app displayed on a generic tablet.

What the hub gives you

One dashboard instead of a pile of apps.

Compatible controllers, cameras, plugs, feeders, sensors, and automation devices can feed one reef-focused system. Node One keeps gathering locally; Node OS presents it at the tank, and Reef Trak can carry selected readings and history to you when you leave.

Local dashboardParameters and history

Glanceable parameter tiles, recent trends, local history, and plain-language alerts when supported readings need attention.

Equipment controlStatus, power, and switching

Turn supported switches on or off locally, see reported state, and use power feedback where the connected equipment exposes it.

Provisioned systemsTank-camera display

A camera tile can appear on systems where a compatible camera has been provisioned. Owner camera setup is not yet a published shipping workflow.

How the pieces relate

Node One is the hub doing the work.

Your equipment feeds the server beside the tank. Node One collects and organizes that information continuously, then gives it back through the built-in Node OS dashboard and the optional Reef Trak companion when you are away.

1 · Connect

Your reef equipment

Compatible controllers, cameras, plugs, feeders, sensors, and automation devices provide readings and supported controls.

2 · Collect

Node One server

The always-on local hub gathers data, stores history, checks equipment state, and keeps working beside the aquarium.

3 · At the tank

Node OS dashboard

The built-in touchscreen shows parameters, equipment, cameras, power, history, alerts, and supported controls.

4 · Away

Reef Trak companion

Selected readings and reef history reach your phone or browser so you can check the tank from work or anywhere else.

Local control: Node OS can turn supported smart plugs and pump switches on or off from the appliance or its local browser. It confirms the reported state and uses power telemetry where available. Commands are never retried automatically.
